Not So Good

I am a big fan of the other Vito's locations in Connecticut but this one does not compare. I have been there 4 times and each time was a disappointment. The service is always extremly slow. The pizza was served burned once (cheese was black). The take out service was painful to go through, they have one person take your order and the other person rings it up. Even if you just order a slice of pizza and are not waiting for something to be made for you, you will have to stand in line until you get the cashier. I have never seen anything like this before. If your order is ready then you should be rung up immediately. It took us 30 minutes waiting in the take out line for 2 slices of pizza! Our lunch break was over and we had to take the food back to the office. It was just crazy. Some of the staff is friendly and the rest isn't. This restaurant is pricy and the food is better at the other Vito's locations. The only positive thing I can say is that the outdoor seating is good and the inerior is nicely decorated. Otherwise, I would pass on this restaurant. I may give them another shot way down the road and hope they get their act together and things improve.

Fabulous Friday!

My Husband and I went to Vito's By The Water a few weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised with the upbeat attitudes of everyone dining there. Even in this slumping economy, Vito's price range was still manageable and appropriate for what we ordered. Portions are just the right size, and made for you. It was clear that Vito's motto is 'Anything for the customer' and our server made us feel that way. We started the night off in the bar area and that was sophisticated while still remaining fresh and upbeat. Then for dinner we were seated in the dining room and had a roomy booth and a nice view of the windows, behind them; our server told us there is a lake/pond that has a fountain that is on during the day. We were treated well and had a great night out. I strongly recommend it to couples seeking a night away from the kids, or singles looking for a fun yet sophisticated bar area and a great meal. Enjoy!

Another Vito's, and more great...

Another Vito's, and more great food. This place is beautiful and right by a nice little pond for a great view while you dine. The bar is gorgeous and the bartenders are amazing. Definitely stop by the bar for happy hour pizzas and some great martinis!
